Frances Jamieson, MD, FRCPC, is a medical microbiologist and medical lead for the TB and Mycobacteriology laboratory and Laboratory Surveillance at Public Health Ontario. She holds an appointment as Associate Professor, Dept. of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and as assistant scientific staff, Dept. of Microbiology, Mount Sinai Hospital. With the public health laboratories for 20 years, Dr. Jamieson has been involved in and managed several large outbreaks, including Walkerton and SARS, and is the provincial co-chair for the Canadian Public Health Laboratory Network. She currently has over 170 publications to her credit.
