I have a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Public Health and Safety from Ryerson University and have been working as a Public Health Inspector (PHI) for two years at Hastings Prince Edward Public Health in Ontario. I'm also a member of the Healthy Environments Working Group at the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI). I have a graduate certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and I'm working towards my Infection Prevention and Control certificate from IPAC Canada. Currently, I'm involved in two projects at the Health Unit in relation to radon and injury prevention. I've always had a keen interest in public health specifically in communicable diseases and infection control. I have an extensive technical knowledge in food safety where I also educate food handlers and have technical knowledge in the rabies virus as I am the rabies program lead at the Health Unit. When I'm not busy inspecting or investigating on public health issues, I like to travel, watch movies and read classic literature.
