TIPS Sudden Science Initiative #1012135 - Soapy AI Powered Hand Washing System

We are seeking up to five (5) facilities within the USA and Canada
to trial the Soapy – AI powered Clinical hand washing system.

The Infection Prevention Strategy (TIPS) is proud to launch a series of trials and pilots to evaluate the latest technologies and programs. TIPS is dedicated to not only presenting the latest information, but also putting new technologies to the test by evaluating their real-world potential.

TIPS has created a model of information-sharing that makes the process of vetting new technologies, implementing successful programs and inspiring innovation more efficient, more accessible, more global and more collaborative. Known as TIPS Sudden Science, the program is driven by our firm belief that we should not have to wait years for promising innovations, ideas, and processes to be implemented and accepted. Around the world, our teams develop trials and conduct pilot studies to aid in the discovery of successful research to market technological advancements.

This real-world trial is one step in the vetting and feedback process to ensure that the innovators methods are effective in their intended use and provide value for the end users.

Why TIPS is testing this product

We believe that this technology provides significant protocol, education and infection prevention opportunities and improvements. Of particular note, is the minimal onboarding requirements. Designed to be mounted on any vertical surface. The Soapy Hand Hygiene System can be installed in hallways, beside entrances to patient rooms, or access to medical wards.

The Soapy System is  a clinical hand hygiene system powered by AI monitoring that collects qualitative and quantitative hand hygiene data to provide immediate feedback to the user and simultaneously create cloud-based regulatory reports. The direct benefit is 2X-3X improved hand hygiene adherence, leading to HAI prevention. The system can be placed in any location within the healthcare facility: patient care, hallways, dining area, waiting area, kitchen, etc.

Soapy supports healthcare providers with educational and fun hand hygiene tutorials. At the end of each handwashing or hand sanitizing cycle, the user will get a quality score based on WHO guidelines for proper hand hygiene.

User experience is one of the coroner stones for Soapy. The Soapy system is equipped with instant warm water and a user visual interface for fun, educational feedback.

The Soapy system can be set up for handwashing or hand sanitizing, reporting compliance parameters, and building fun visual communications.
