Disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to your use of the TIPS Journal website at infectioncontrol.tips, published by The Infection Prevention Strategy (TIPS), a not-for-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada. By using this website you accept this disclaimer. We may update it from time to time; the version on this page is the one that applies.
Not medical or professional advice
The TIPS Journal publishes peer-reviewed research, Perspective articles and news to share knowledge about infection prevention and global health. This information is for general information and education. It is not medical, legal, regulatory or other professional advice, and it does not replace the advice of a qualified professional who knows your situation.
Do not use anything on this website to diagnose or treat any health problem, or to choose, use or stop using a product, procedure or disinfection method, without consulting a qualified professional and following the applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer instructions in your jurisdiction. Reading this website does not create a professional-client, doctor-patient or any other relationship between you and TIPS, the journal, its editors or its authors.
Accuracy and currency
We take care in what we publish, and peer-reviewed articles are reviewed by experts before publication. Even so, science changes, and articles reflect what was known when they were published. Information on this website may be incomplete, may become out of date, and may contain errors. Each article shows the date it was published; please check that date and look for newer evidence and guidance. If you find an error, tell us through our contact form and we will correct it as set out in our Journal Policies.
Opinions are the authors’
Articles express the views of their authors. Perspective articles in particular share personal experience and points of view and are not peer-reviewed. Unless stated otherwise, the views expressed are not those of TIPS, the TIPS Journal, its editors, reviewers, Advisory Board or sponsors, and publication does not mean that any of them endorse those views.
Products, companies and sponsors
Mention of a product, technology, company or service, including in studies of products and in content connected with the TIPS Science to Market® program or our sponsors and supporters, is not an endorsement or recommendation, and is not a guarantee of its safety, effectiveness or regulatory status. Always check claims with the manufacturer and the regulator in your country.

We link to other websites, such as references, data sources and partners, for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
