  1. Allergen: undeclared peanuts, tree nuts, and coconut in CLIF BUILDER’S brand Mint Chocolate Protein Bars. Distributed nationwide.
  2. Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in St Laurent brand Butter. Distributed in Quebec.
  3. (Update) Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in Perron brand and Beurre du Lac brand Butter. Distributed in Quebec.
  4. (Update) Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in various brands of butter. Distributed in Quebec.
  5. Microbiological: Salmonella in President’s Choice brand Pub Recipe Chicken Nuggets. Distributed nationwide. 
  1. Allergen: undeclared milk in select Montour Brand products. Distributed in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec.
  2. Extraneous Material: presence of plastic fragments in Yoplait Minigo brand and Liberté brand yogurt pouches. Distributed nationwide.
  3. (Update) Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in various brands of butter. Distributed in Quebec.
  4. Allergen: undeclared milk in CBS Mediterranean Breading 2. Distributed in Ontario.

United States of America

  1. Allergen: undeclared milk in Anarkali Peshawari Naan Bread. Distributed nationwide.
  2. Allergen: undeclared peanuts, tree nuts, and coconut in CLIF® BUILDER’S ®BAR Chocolate Mint flavor, and CLIF Kid Zbar® Protein Chocolate Mint and CLIF Kid Zbar® Protein Chocolate Chip flavors. Distributed nationwide.
  3. Allergen: undeclared wheat in Biohealth Nutrition Precision Blend Cookies & Cream. Distributed nationwide.
  4. Allergen: undeclared milk in Coborn’s Inc. Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Bars which were incorrectly labeled as Gluten Free Fudge Brownies. Distributed and sold at Coborn’s and Cash Wise stores in MN, ND, and SD, as well as Marketplace Foods stores in WI, and Coborn’s Delivers in the Twin Cities Metro area.
  5. Allergen: undeclared soy and tree nut (almond and coconut) in Sunnenn Health Foods mislabeled Whole Foods Market PB&J parfaits. Sold at five Whole Foods Market stores in NJ and NY.
  6. Allergen: undeclared milk and desmethyl carbodenafil in New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee. Distributed nationwide.
  7. Allergen: undeclared milk, cheese, and eggs in Texas Legend Foods Silver Star Chipotle Queso Dip. Distributed nationwide.
  8. Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in Woodstock Organic Matcha Vanilla Oats, 1.8 oz. which is manufactured by Garden of Light for Blue Marble Brands. Distributed nationwide.
  9. Health Risk (The Idaho Food Bank): 27,000 pounds of Coconut Beverage, Broccoli Cheddar Soup, Eggs, and Cheese products not continuously maintained or stored at the required room temperature due to a malfunction in the cooler. Distributed in Southwest and North-Central ID.
  10. Microbiological: Listeria monocytogenes in Bhu Foods protein bars containing sunflower seeds from Hudson Valley Foods Inc. Distributed nationwide.
  11. Other: defective side seam in 28 oz. cans of Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans, Country Style Baked Beans and Original Baked Beans. Distributed nationwide.
  12. Allergen: undeclared soy in eight Hy-Vee brand pizzas. Sold a 6 Minneapolis-area stores.
  13. Microbiological: Salmonella in Grande Produce Papaya Maradol (with the brand name Caribeña labeled on cartons). Distributed nationwide.
  14. Allergen: undeclared egg in liveGfree Gluten Free White Bread that was packaged into liveGfree Gluten Free Classic Soft White Hamburger Bun packaging. Sold in ALDI stores in AR, DC, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MO, NC, NE, OH, OK, PA, SC, TX, VA, WI, and WV.

After completing her B. Sc. in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, she stayed at McMaster University to pursue a Ph.D. where she studied the effects of small-molecules on Listeria monocytogenes biofilm development in collaboration with the CFIA. Following a brief stint as a Post-doc, she is currently a R&D Microbiologist at a pharmaceutical company and a Freelance Academic Proofreader for Crimson-Enago. She has received numerous awards and scholarships including the Faculty of Health Sciences Graduate Programs Outstanding Thesis Awards, Ontario Graduate Fellowship, Fred and Helen Knight Enrichment Award. Outside of science, she loves travelling and exploring new places as well as creating and experimenting with desserts.
