Emmanuel Raphael Santuray

Emmanuel Raphael Santuray is a University of California, Irvine alumnus who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science and a minor in Film and Media Studies. During his studies, he found an interest in pursuing a nursing career in mental health and critical care soon. In 2020, he worked with colleagues in a quality improvement project at UCI Medical Center (UCIMC) in Orange, CA for the promotion of patient hand hygiene using the Fitsi bedside caddy. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was part of a community health project that started Virtual Visitors, a Patient Experience program at UCIMC that sought to meet the emotional and psychosocial needs of their patients through virtual conversations.
