Dr. Helene Paxton is an infection preventionist with over 40 years of experience in in both acute and long term care. After receiving her PhD in epidemiology, she specialized in vector borne diseases including Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme disease, Dengue Fever, and Ehrlichiosis before running an immunology laboratory in Baltimore. Through her experience, she has amassed over 70 product patents in in vitro diagnostics, and consults with organizations (including the US Department of Defense) from around the world regarding infectious disease. She has multiple teaching appointments for allied health students and now joins the advisory board at InfectionControl.tips.
