Blue Planet Hospital Grade Disinfectant from Intercon Chemical / Clearly Better

Blue Planet’s broad spectrum, PH neutral, noncorrosive, noncaustic formula requires no rinsing or wiping.

Blue Planet Hospital Grade Disinfectant with S-HOCL (stabilized hypochlorous acid) from Intercon Chemical/Clearly Better is an eco-friendly, hospital-grade disinfectant that carries no hazardous chemicals and has not caution or hazard warnings of any kind, making it ideal for a wide variety of industries and surfaces, including food service, schools (and buses), hospitality, offices, and healthcare. The formula is manufactured using a proprietary, patented process that combines premium-grade NaCl and purified water. The combination creates a stable molecule with an 18-month shelf life that kills SARS CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in two minutes, as well as other viruses and bacteria.

Blue Planet is also a food contact surface sanitizer with 60-second efficacy and has an NSF D2 rating.

Blue Planet’s broad spectrum, PH neutral, noncorrosive, noncaustic formula requires no rinsing or wiping. It returns to a saline solution and air dries, leaving no sticky residue, so surfaces stay clean longer without biofilm buildup.

Many other HOCL products are not hospital grade, have a limited shelf life, require strip testing before use, provide limited organism efficacy, can be caustic and corrosive if they have more than 200 ppm HOCL, and/or cannot be used on food surfaces. Meanwhile, Blue Planet hospital-grade disinfectant is so gentle that it includes the same S-HOCL that is an FDA-510 K-approved antimicrobial hand and wound cleanser and is used as an eczema therapy product. The disinfectant is EPA registered, has an NSF D2 rating, and is endorsed by the Child Safety Network.

“The Safe Family Seal is provided because this fine product is the safest and most effective for the health and safety of all students and staff,” Child Safety Network Chairman Ward E. Leber said about Blue Planet hospital-grade disinfectant.

Lighthouse EIP Single Use Microfiber Mops (formerly Trust)

GBAC Star Registered Technology

The Lighthouse EIP X1, S1 and HA recyclable single-use microfiber mops provide an effective and sustainable solution for cleaning and disinfecting floors.

The use of launderable microfiber products might seem like a good choice in terms of sustainability, but in reality these reusable products can release microplastics into the water systems, use toxic dyes in the manufacturing process, and use water, electricity, and sewer services in the laundering process. Furthermore, the products have been found to remove only 14% of surface pathogens.  The Lighthouse EIP line of single-use microfiber mops address all the major failure points of launderable microfiber mops, thereby removing more pathogens and decreasing the risk of spreading healthcare-acquired infections through cross contamination.

Lighthouse believes in providing the safest, most environmentally conscious products on the market and are committed to providing products in a manner which ensures safety and limits the impact on our planet. Not only are our single-use mops more effective, removing 78% of pathogens such as C.difficile from dry surfaces, but they are also the better environmental choice. Lighthouse microfiber decreases the amount of chemicals required in use and is 100% recyclable. Because there is no need for laundry services, the number of microplastics entering the water system is reduced and resources are saved. The mops are a GBAC Star Registered Technology.

“It is not often that you see a game changing technology enter the marketplace.  Unlike many industries that continually introduce new and better technologies, in the realm of environmental services, we have been using the same tools and technologies for over 50 years,” says Eileen Doane, VP Business Development & Communications. “The existing technologies for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and floors are damaging to the environment and are not as effective at removing pathogens. With the introduction of the Lighthouse EIP single-use microfiber, we are creating safer, more sustainable environments for all.”
