Carol Calabrese, R.N., B.S., T- CSCT, CHESP, C.I.C. serves as a Senior Clinical Advisor, Infection Prevention for Diversey in North America. In this role, Carol serves as an infection prevention and control resource and industry liaison to support the improvement of environmental hygiene solutions and the adoption of evidence –based practices. Prior to joining Diversey in March 2017, Carol served as an Interim Leader of Infection Prevention for two years. Carol has also held positions as the System Director of Epidemiology and Infection Control Services for a healthcare system in Ft. Myers, FL and Clinical Specialist/Infection Prevention in the Medical Device Industry. Her experience encompasses Acute Care, Long Term Care, Home Health, Hospital Clinics and Physician Practice. She is proficient in all aspects of the necessary components of an Infection Prevention and Control Program with over 30 years of experience. Carol has been board certified (CIC®) since 1990. She has provided lectures to local/State APIC meetings, as well other professional meetings. Carol served the Greater Kansas City APIC as President in 2016, a board member and conference planning committee member. She has also served on the boards of DFW APIC and FPIC (Florida Professionals of Infection Control) as Secretary. She earned her B.S. degree from Barry University, Miami, FL and A.A.S. degree in Nursing from Alfred State College, Alfred, N.Y.
