Marilynn Larkin is an award-winning science writer and editor who develops content for medical, scientific and consumer audiences. She is a regular contributor to Elsevier Connect—the medical/scientific publisher’s global platform for the science, health and technology communities—and the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening’s scientific e-zine and a member of the Senior Advisory Board of Oxford Biotech. Ms. Larkin was a contributing editor to The Lancet and its affiliated medical journals for more than 10 years, a regular contributor to the New York Academy of Sciences' publications and a reporter for Reuters Health's professional and consumer newsfeeds. She also launched and served as editor for of Caring for the Ages, an official publication of the American Medical Directors Association. In addition, her articles have appeared in Consumer Reports, Vogue, Woman's Day and many other publications for general audiences, and she is the author of five consumer health books. As a consultant on postural awareness and presentation/communications skills, Ms.Larkin has presented to corporations and nonprofits and at regional and national meetings of, among others, the American Society on Aging and National Council on Aging, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the International Council on Active Aging.
