Al Wickheim

Al Wickheim was born and raised in Victoria B.C. and raised in the shipbuilding industry. His adult career has primarily been in Advanced Care Para-medicine, a role he draws upon heavily while instructing First Responders at the local volunteer fire service. He is the Community Coordinator for Otter Point’s Emergency Management Program, the IFRC and enjoys traveling worldwide while working tirelessly to promote health and safety amongst his peers and the community at large. Al and his wife Laura, co-author to this paper have raised their 3 children on their forested farm on Southern Vancouver Island.
